Alaron's Management Team

  • President and CEO - Steve Greenberg
    • Mr. Greenberg has served as CEO, President and Chairman of the Alaron Board of Directors since its inception in 1989. He has worked diligently to build a team of business professionals, that include experienced futures and options brokers, and improving the overall client experience during this era of rapid technological advancement.

      In addition to overall management of the company, Mr. Greenberg takes a lead role in generating all forms of the Company's business activities. A member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) since 1988, he is currently a member of the Growth and Emerging Markets division and a past member of the International Monetary Market (IMM) and the Index Options Market (IOM) at the CME. He is also a member of the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX), the Kansas City Board of Trade and the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). Mr. Greenberg authored the book Single Stock Futures: The Complete Guide and is a member of Vistage, a developmental organization for business executives. Mr. Greenberg received a BA in International Relations from Boston University and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. 

  • President of Alaron Futures & Options - Barry Isaacson
    • Mr. Isaacson, President of Alaron Futures & Options, joined Alaron in 1989 as Operations Manager and then Principal and Chief Operating Officer.  Additionally, he has served as a Director on the Alaron Board since 1993.  Mr. Isaacson has vast experience in operations and intimate knowledge of retail and introducing brokerage landscape.  He has been a member of the CME since 2002 and a registered member of the National Futures Association since 1990. Mr. Isaacson received a BS in Business Administration at Southern Methodist University.  Mr. Isaacson is a member of the Alaron Risk Committee and is currently a member of Vistage, a developmental organization for business executives.

  • Managing Partner - Gary Weber
    • Mr. Weber became a Principal and Managing Partner at Alaron in April 2004. He is a principal at Alaron Holding Corporation and serves on Alaron’s Board of Directors. He is actively involved in overall company business and product development. He is also President of GJ Brokerage, LLC and GJ Direct, which specialize in electronic trade execution. He has over 23 years experience in the futures industry and has been an independent broker and trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) since 1983. From 1981 to 1983 he was a broker for Glass-Ginsburg, Ltd., then the largest foreign currency arbitrage firm on the International Monetary market (IMM). Mr. Weber is a member of the CME, CBOT, New York Board of Trade (NYBOT), and Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), and is currently undergoing the membership process at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange and the Kansas City Board of Trade. He has served on several committees at the CME, including the Foreign Currency Steering and Membership Committee. Mr. Weber has a BA in Economics from Cornell University and attended Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

  • Managing Director - Scott Slutsky
    • Scott Slutsky is a principal of Alaron Trading Corporation and the Director of Alaron Global. He is a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), where he brokered institutional and retail orders in various currency pits for 25 years. Mr. Slutsky is a former member of the CME Board of Directors. He speaks at conferences and seminars throughout the world and conducts mock trading programs.

      Mr. Slutsky has written three books, Masters of the Futures, The Complete Guide to Electronic Futures Trading, and his newest book The Promises and Pitfalls of Trading Forex.  Mr. Slutsky's next book title will be Listen, Laugh, and Learn coming out this fall.

  • Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer – Kathryn J. Meyer
    • Ms. Meyer joined Alaron in October 2007 as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.  She is responsible for all operational aspects of the firm, including customer services, clearing, risk management and compliance, as well as liaising with exchanges, clearing houses and other counterparties.  Prior to joining Alaron, Ms. Meyer was President of MNM Financial, Ltd., a private practice she founded in 2000, where she provided independent consulting to corporate clients.  Additionally, she is the former President of the Clearing House Division at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.  Ms. Meyer received her BS in Business Administration from the University of Illinois and her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

  • Senior Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development - Jason Carver
    • Mr. Carver joined Alaron in June of 2005 as its Chief Financial Officer and was chosen to lead the firm’s Corporate Development and Corporate Strategy initiatives in December of 2007.  Prior to joining Alaron, Mr. Carver worked at Bank of America N.A. from 1999 through May 2005 where he served as Chief Financial Officer of Bank of America Futures, Inc. and Vice President, Manager – Finance Business Support.  From 1995 to 1998 Mr. Carver traded interest rate futures for risk management and worked in control functions at AMRESCO.  Mr. Carver received his BS in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1996 and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.  Mr. Carver is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant, Principal Member of the National Futures Association and has NASD Series 3, 7, 24, 27, and 63 licenses.  Mr. Carver is a member of the Alaron Risk Committee and is currently a member of Vistage, a developmental organization for business executives.

  • Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer - Carrie Gibori
    • Mrs. Gibori joined Alaron trading in 1991 and became a principal and member of the Alaron Board of Directors that same year. Mrs. Gibori is responsible for marketing, public relations and customer acquisition. She is a past member of the CME International Options Market Division and a current member of the Chicago Board of Trade, the New York Board of Trade and the Minneapolis Grain Exchange. She has also submitted her application for membership of the Kansas City Board of Trade. She is a principal member of the National Futures Association. Mrs. Gibori received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign. She is currently a member of the American Marketing Association and Vistage, a developmental organization for business executives.

  • Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer – Bill Twenty
    • Mr. Twenty joined Alaron in December 2007 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to joining Alaron, Mr. Twenty served from 1994 as Chief Operating and Financial Officer for the FCT Group of Companies, from 1991 through 1994 as Managing Director for Tate and Lyle International Finance Limited in London, and as Director Tax Treasury and Asset Management for the A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company.  Mr. Twenty holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Millikin University in Decatur, IL and an MBA from the Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL.

  • Chief Technology Officer – Tony Krcmar
    • Anthony Krcmar joined Alaron in November of 2007 as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining Alaron, Mr. Krcmar worked at Shearson Lehman where he developed trading strategies and market indicators for institutional and retail clients. He later started Intellinet Technology Consulting, a company which focused on offering technology solutions and staff augmentation for their clients. In 2000, ITC merged with Project Leadership Associates where he was a Principal and Managing Consultant from its inception. Mr. Krcmar brings over 10 years of Futures Industry expertise and over 10 years of network consulting expertise to Alaron.
